At the heart of all life is God, an incredible creator and a loving redeemer. Christianity is about God reaching out his hand in friendship to mankind. Christians believe that the whole world and everything in it was created by God. God is is a personal being who is, by a mystery that we cannot understand, three persons, yet one: God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. He created people in his image to love and worship him. Yet every person ever created has rebelled against God. But instead of turning his back on us, God became a man, Jesus, and was born about 4 BC. Jesus lived among us and taught a message of love, repentance and forgiveness. As he taught this, public opinion and that of the religious leaders of the day gradually turned against him and he was executed as a young man. The Bible makes it clear that he died because of us and in our place. He was crucified on a cross but he was resurrected from the dead, and now is alive. He calls us to trust him, to love him and to repent from our rebellion against God. If we do this, then our relationship with God is restored and we will rise to live forever with God after our physical death.

Purpose

This website is a wiki website which anyone can view and registered users can edit. Some of the purposes of this website are:

Not only does this website hope to be a general encyclopedia of Christian topics, it also aims to be a resource and index for more specific topics. Some of the major categories including a sermon database, Bible commentary, an index of churches in South Australia and a database of Christian music and literature.
